OUR STORY
Kurundú was born inspired by a trip to Panama and takes its name from the humble neighborhood of Curundú in Panama City that despite its exotic fame has been the cradle of important characters in the local culture.

The word Curundú It means an amulet to attract good luck or the desired love in Guaraní.

We are a small independent brand founded in Barcelona, we design and manufacture in Catalonia; We are driven by solid values, we believe in slow and sustainable production, moving away from the conventional ideas of manufacturing in the fast fashion of the great giants known worldwide where immediacy and the trend prevail over quality.
QUESTION OF ETHICS
Nowadays, industrial relocation and international trends in large brands of ready-to-wear items have moved the production of such items to underdeveloped countries.

When we buy these items we accept the rules of exploitation in distant places with great benefits for large companies, leaving aside our ethics regarding the working conditions and rights of exploited workers as well as poor conditions of care for the environment.

That is why at Kurundú we think about the future and produce locally, close to you.

We are committed to truly social values. We believe that what you buy should be produced close to you. The conditions and rights of the workers who are part of the entire production chain, from beginning to end, must be protected and guaranteed.
Within the eco-responsible values in which we are committed in Kurundu, we believe that there is only one planet Earth where we live. Therefore, it is our duty to protect and preserve it. To reduce our impact, we not only produce close to you, but also all our garments are made with 100% organic cotton. We only use fabrics that follow the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) in its fifth version.
